To use BounceIntel, create a new job for an email list. There are three steps when creating a BounceIntel job:
Import an Email List
To prepare the email list to import, first export the list from its source system. The list should in a .csv (comma-delimited) format. The supported structure is a single column of email address data. Headers are allowed, but are not required. Once the list is in this format, it can be uploaded.
When the list is ready, log in to SalesIntel and navigate to the BounceIntel tab. Click Add File to get started.
Enter a name for the list. This name will be used to identify the job on the BounceIntel lists page. Use the file picker to choose the list. Lastly, choose whether to skip the first row. This option should be chosen if the list has a header row that should not be processed. Click Submit when the job is ready.
Email List Verification Processing
Once the job has been submitted, it can take between several hours and up to a day to complete the verification process, using the SalesIntel on-demand and automated research teams. The user who submitted the request will receive an email when the processing completes. However, the BounceIntel lists page will also show the status of the job at any given time.
Access the Results
When the job is complete, visit the BounceIntel list page to access the results. This page will show a summary of the job, including the number of emails that are deliverable, expected to bounce, or have an invalid syntax/malformed. Download the file to see the status of each email on the list and to use the results in an ESP or marketing automation platform. The status can serve as either a tag/custom field in these platforms or the valid emails can be uploaded directly to their own list.
