User limits are set by client admins at Account Settings > Credit Limits in the Welcome menu. These limits will help admins prevent abuse and ensure fair use of their credits across all SalesIntel products. Credits can be limited both by the entire contract period and/or shorter intervals such as daily or monthly. The allocation may be changed at any time.
In the example below:
- The first user may use as many export credits as they would like over the contract length, but no more than 500 per month.
- The second user can only use 1,000 over the contract period and 500 per month. This means that they could exceed their limit in 2 months if they max out their usage each month, but that they can also have credits throughout the year if they have heavier and lighter usage months.
- The third user shows an error. In this case, the user is being assigned a limit that has already been exceed. The limit must be increased beyond current usage to be applied.
The functionality is as follows:
- Contract Length Credits - assign total credits for the entire length of the contract for the specific user. Leave blank to provide unlimited contacts, the user will still be limited by any daily or monthly credit limits.
- Daily or Monthly Credits - assign a total number of credits available for the interval. Leave blank to provide unlimited contacts, the user will be limited by any contract length limits.
- Interval - The interval may be set to daily or monthly for usage limits shorter than a contract term.
- Bulk Actions - to make changes to all the selected user at once.
Limits applied to users on a daily or monthly basis do not roll over and are also not deducted from contractual credit totals if unused. These limits are simply caps to prevent abuse.
When a user is subject to credit limits, the remaining credits on the top of the page indicate available export credits for that user. For a more detailed look at credits across the account and the credit type, view the Credit Balance under the Welcome menu.
A Note on Monthly Credits
If credits are limited on a monthly basis, it is important to understand that this is a rolling window with a lookback of one month. For example, a user is limited to 100 credits monthly and consumes the following:
- April 14 - 50 credits
- April 20 - 25 credits
- April 28 - 25 credits
As of April 28, all credits are consumed and the user may not consume more credits until the total over the last month is below their limit. In this case, 50 credits would be available on May 14, and another 25 on each of May 20 and May 25.
