GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation

What is GDPR?

Enacted in 2018, GDPR grants EU residents strong rights over their personal data. Organizations must obtain explicit opt-in consent to communicate with EU individuals and are responsible for securing that data. Non-compliance can lead to significant penalties.
 

What rights do EU residents have?

  • Know how their data is collected and used
  • Request access to their personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request data deletion
  • Refuse data processing (opt-in is required)

What must companies do?

  • Obtain consent before processing EU data
  • Conduct end-to-end audits of data sources and handling
  • Implement advanced security measures
  • Appoint a Data Privacy Officer (DPO)
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR requirements

Is SalesIntel GDPR Compliant?

Yes — we have taken significant steps to ensure GDPR compliance, including:

  • Installing advanced encryption and security protocols
  • Updating cookie, consent, and privacy policies
  • Appointing a dedicated DPO
  • Implementing user-facing consent transparency

Note: While SalesIntel is GDPR compliant, our clients must ensure their own compliance once our data is in their systems.

CCPA – California Consumer Privacy Act

Who is protected?

The CCPA protects California residents (consumers). Businesses that collect, share, or sell personal data about California residents are subject to the law, regardless of where the business is located.
 

What rights do California residents have?

  • Access the categories and specific personal data collected
  • Delete personal data held by a business (with some exceptions)
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data
  • Correct inaccurate personal information (added via CPRA)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising their rights

We comply with all CCPA regulations in how we research, collect, and use data. However, clients are responsible for maintaining compliance within their own environments.

Types of Data:

  • Some data (e.g., public business contact info) is publicly available
  • Other data is sourced and processed in line with applicable CCPA protections
